Navygouge has added weather information right here where you can get to it quickly. We’ve consolidated imagery from several sources, TAF information and some inside gouge on getting the weather info you need. Here is a quick list of some good weather tools:

ASOS North Whiting – (850) 623-7241
ASOS South Whiting- (850) 623-7210

You can get METAR, weather and other text messages on your cell phone from Google:

-Send a Text to GOOGLE (466453) with the following in the body of the message: “METAR {airport code}” and Google will send you the latest METAR for the airport you are looking for. [For example send “METAR KPNS” Good for a quick check of weather before you fly.

-Send a Text to GOOGLE with the body of “WEATHER {city name}” to get general weather information

-Sent a text to GOOGLE with the body of “time {city name}” to get the current local time in that city

Learning emergency procedures are one of the most important parts of going through flight school.   Some great new MP3 recordings of T-34 EPs have just been uploaded to the wiki.  A huge thanks goes out to D3West86 for uploading this great new gouge.
