LEFT MAIN GEAR:
 

wheel tread (some tread / no chord showing); check tire for cuts, abrasions, proper inflation, and retaining nut cotterkeyed check brake disk for scoring/warpage oleo 3 inches (4 fingers) shock strut scissors for proper installation, security, retaining pins cotterkeyed, microswitch and linkage secure landing gear fairing for security remove chocks on left side only (move them well clear of the taxiway, further than shown here)

• positive downlock cable for security and fraying, mechanical locking device boot snaps securely fastened, and uplock spring tension.  Note: downlock cable is tight when gear is down.  Uplock cable-(wire with yellow end) has slack with gear down.
• Left main safety switch (located on strut)
• Activates warning horn if gear handle is up with weight on the wheels.
• Enables the pilot initiated NACWS system test
• Disables the active detection mode and warning tones for TAS with relative altitudes of less than 330'
• landing light for security
• aileron trim tab cables and turnbuckles safety wired and no evidence of chaffing or excess slack; fuel lines and fittings for leakage . (4 cables in aft section of well, 2 large silver cables control the aileron, the 2 smaller ones control the trim tab)
• wheel well for foreign objects (tools, rags, cookies etc)
• landing gear door (inboard) for excess play
• landing gear position (peanut) light for security

Forward fuel drain (40 gal)-check for leakage (one each wing)
